Kailash and West Tibet Hotels

Known as the roof of “the Roof of the World”, Ngari prefecture is located in West Tibet which is far away from Lhasa. With limited condition, there is only a few hotels in Ngari. Except Himalaya Kailash Hotel and Himalaya Purang Hotel, almost all other hotels offer low-end facilities. Here TibetCtrip has selected a list of west Tibet hotels close to Kailash for foreign travelers which provide convenient prime location to Mount Kailash, Lake Manasarovar,  Guge Kingdom or other tourist attractions.

1. Himalaya Kailash Hotel 

• Location: Bagaxiang, Tarchen, Tibet

Himalaya Kailash Hotel is one of the best accommodations in far west Tibet Burang county (Purang). Located at the foot of Mount Kailash, Himalaya Kailash Hotel is also close to Lake Manasarovar. For its wonderful location, it’s extremely popular among travelers who head to Kailash pilgrim trip. Each guestroom provides private toilet, 24-hour hot water supply, free Internet access, and some rooms have fresh air system. Undoubtedly, it is such a perfect accommodation at this remote place.

2. Himalaya Purang Hotel

• Location: Shanxi Road, Purang County

Himalaya Purang Hotel is also one of the best hotels in far west Tibet Burang county (Purang). The hotel appeals to lots of travelers who plan a pilgrimage tour to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. The hotel is well equipped with basic amenities such as TV, heating and 24 hours hot water. Guests can fully relaxed in the hotel after Kailash pilgrimage tour.

3. Tulin Castle Hotel

• Location: Ngari Tibet

• Brief Info:

Tulin Castle Hotel locates in world well-known Tulin scenic area. It’s a modern hotel which aims to provide comfortable accommodation and service for travelers who come to travel in Ngari.

4. Guge Wangchao Hotel

• Location: South Binhe Road, Shiquanhe Town, Ngari Tibet

• Brief Info:

As the best hotel in Shiquanhe town, Guge Wangchao Hotel is a business hotel with great parking area. The hotel offers comfortable guestrooms and each room is well-equipped with private bathroom, 24-hour hot water, TV. Guests can also enjoy delicious local food in the restaurant.

5. Huahui Yintai Hotel

• Location: Under the foot of Mount Kailash, Ngari Tibet

• Brief Info:

Opposite Shiquanhe Lake, Huahui Yintai Hotel is a relatively nice hotel in Ngari with free WIFI in all guestrooms. It's not a bad choice for travelers to relax here.

6. Tibet Ali Hotel

• Location: Ngari Tibet

• Brief Info:

Tibet Ali Hotel is the only hotel which provides oxygen supply in Ngari. It offers 151 guestrooms including Single Room, Standard Room and Business Standard Room. 

7. Xiangxiong Hotel

• Location: Ngari Tibet

• Brief Info:

Xiangxiong Hotel is one of the best hotels in Ngari with indoor bathroom and 24-hour hot water. Boasting tourism attractions like Mount Kailash, Pangong Lake, Guge Kingdom, etc.

8. Ngari Telecom Hotel

• Location: Residents commitee, Zhensen Road, Shiquanhe, Ngari Tibet

• Brief Info:

Telecom Hotel offers poor living condition in Shiquanhe town. There is no running water in the hotel, but it’s not so bad for one night’s stay.

9. Chengdu Grand Hotel

• Location: Under the foot of Mount Kailash, Ngari Tibet

• Brief Info:

Under the foot of the holy Mountain Kailash, Chengdu Grand Hotel is only 1 km away from Kailash in Nagri Prefecture. With an average altitude of 4,500 meters, this grand hotel provides the worst living condition and simplest services in Tibet for limited resource. Thus, guests should not expect much. But it can be compared to any luxurious hotel to the passing-by travelers or drivers in fact.
