Gokyo Lake - Chola Pass - Everest Base Camp, Everest region is the famous for Trekking in Nepal. Trekking in Everest Base Camp. Mt. Everest ''SAGARMATH'' (in Nepali language) 8848 m. is the highest mountain on Earth, as measured by the height of its summit above sea level. Mt. Lhotse 8516 meter, Mt. Cho-Oyu 8201 meter, Mt. Makalu 8463 meter, Mt. Amadablam 6812 meter are also main attractions of this area. In 1953 this region became famous in the word after Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set off on their epic journey. Everest region is famous for Sherpa villages, home of the world's highest Buddhist monasteries and the highest peaks on Earth". The Everest Base Camp Trek is probably the most famous in the world. Commencing from the airstrip at Lukla the first three days are spent trekking the established trail to EBC. We traverse west for a gradual ascent to the beautiful Gokyo Lake. Where we rest for some side treks including a climb of Gokyo Ri for some fantastic views. From Gokyo we trek over the Chola pass onwards to Gorak Shep on the main trail  and Kala Pattar, fantastic views of Everest .As we cross the Cho-La pass, we then return back to Lukla following the route through Everest Base Camp, Kala Pathar and Thyangboche monastery, Khumjung village, Namche Bazar the continue descend to Lukla. This ideal trek gives enough opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking view of Everest including several other similar peaks and to explore the Buddhists monasteries located at the world's heightest place.

Gokyo Lake - Chola Pass - Everest Base Camp Trekking
Day 01 Welcome to Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu airport, you will be met and transferred to your Hotel

Day 02 Kathmandu
After Breakfast sightseeing Tour to Shyambhunath Stupa, Where you can see a lots of monkeys & beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley. This old stupa called by Monkey Temple as well. Bouddhanath Stupa, second biggest Stupa in the world & Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindus Temple. In the afternoon prepare for Trekking. O/N at Hotel.

Day 03 Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding (2656m)
Fly from Kathmandu (Domestic airport) to Lukla .
Trek start from Lukla, the trail goes down to phakding through the villages slowly 4hrs trek. O/n Trekkers Lodge.

Day 04 Phakding - Namche Bazar(3440m)
Beginning with a slight climb to Jorsale we pass a waterfall and along this part of the trail villages are interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magnolia trees and giant firs. Then walk to Namche crossing a few bridges and then climb of several hundred meters, a steep descent and another steep climb through the forest. This day 4hrs Trek. O/n Trekkers Lodge.

Day 05 Namche Bazar ( Acclimatization Day 3440m)
Acclimatization is most important before processing to a higher elevation. You can spend a day taking a day hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relaxing and explore Namche Bazar, a Sherpa community. O/n Trekkers Lodge.

Day 06 Namche Bazar - Dole (4084m)
We are now approaching 4500m, Today is a spectacular day in terms of scenery as we follow the main trail north out of Namche. The trail to Everest drops down the hill but we turn off here and climb to cross the Mon La before reaching Phortse Tenga through rhododendron and birch forest festooned with hanging mosses and lichens.From Phortse Tenga, the trail climbs steeply to Dole. Day 07 Dole - Machermo (4410m)
We climb steadily along the side of the valley, where the rhododendron forests give way to scrub juniper as the altitude increases. An excellent views of Cho Oyu, while back down the valley are the peaks of Kantega and Thamserku. This is a short day and we will arrive at Machermo in time for lunch. 4hrs Trek. O/n Trekkers Lodge.

Day 08 Machermo Rest Day
We are now approaching 4500m, so we will stay at Machermo for an extra day to acclimatise. There are plenty of possibilities for exploration around the camp and just above the village there is an excellent view encompassing Cho Oyu [8210m] and the mountains which flank the Ngozumpa Glacier. Day 09 Machermo - Gokyo (4750m)
We head for the lakes at Gokyo. Today following one of the melt-water rivers which flow down the west side of the Ngozumpa Glacier. We cross the three Beautiful Lakes.We cross the third lakes called Dudh Pokhari and on its eastern shore is the settlement of Gokyo. Walking by the side of the lake, the scenery is magnificent with the summits of Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang. 3hrs Trek. O/n Trekkers Lodge

Day 10 Rest day - Ascent of Gokyo Ri [5483m]
Early morning 2hrs Hike to Gokyo Ri for sunrise View with Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Lhotse, Nuptse & many more Mountains view from your eyelevel. We can say it is even better View than Kala Pattar. O/n Trekkers Lodge in GOKYO.

Day 11 Gokyo - Thangnak (4690m)
Fit and acclimatised, we leave Gokyo to cross the Ngozumpa Glacier. We descend to the second lake and drop down on to the glacier. The route across the glacier is marked by cairns and is generally quite well defined. This day Trek around 2hrs. O/n Trekkers Lodge.

Day 12 Thangnak - Chola Pass ( 5350m) - Jhongla (4780m)
An early start is necessary today, as not only do we have to cross Cho La Pass (5350m) but we also have to make the long descent to reach JHONGLA. Continuing up the valley, we cross a ridge and an old lateral moraine, before beginning the rocky scramble to the pass. From the pass there are excellent views, across to the Rolwaling Valley in the west and Ama Dablam to the south east. Around 7-8 hrs Trek. O/n Trekkers Lodge at JHONGLA.

Day 13 Jhongla - Gorak Shep (5184m)
To reach our next objective, Kala Pattar, the trail continues to follow the valley beside the Khumbu Glacier, and offers superb views of the surrounding mountains, especially where the path is forced to rise to cross a tributary glacier. Later in the afternoon, when the sunset colours begin to appear on Everest, we make our way to the top of one of the finest viewpoints in the Khumbu, Kala Pattar [5549m]. As the light begins to fade we stroll back to our camp at Gorak Shep. This Day Trek around 4hrs.O/n Trekkers Lodge

Day 14 Gorak Shep - Trek to Everest Base Camp [5357m] & return to Gorak Shep.
For the trek to Everest Base Camp, a very early start is required. It takes several hours on a trail across the Khumbu Glacier which weaves its way between almost translucent ice pinnacles and past seemingly bottomless crevasses. At Base Camp. On the return leg, we can take a higher route to get a spectacular view of the Khumbu icefall and the route to the south Col. We then return to Gorak Shep. This Day Trek around 4hrs. Day 15 Gorak Shep - Pangboche (3985m)
It's downhill most of the way today, past Lobuche to Duglha and Pheriche. The Himalayan Rescue Association have trekkers aid post here which is interesting to visit. After lunch we cross the Khumbu Khola on a wooden suspension bridge and follow the Imja Khola to the village of Pangboche. Trek around 5hrs. O/n Trekkers Lodge

Day 16 Pangboche - Namche (3450m)
We continue to follow the river and, after crossing it, climb back up through birch and rhododendron forest to Thyangboche, From Thyangboche we descend to the bridge over the Dudh Kosi at Phunki Tenga, where there are water driven prayer wheels, before making our way back to Namche. Day 17 Namche - Lukla (2800m)
Our final day's trekking follows the Dudh Kosi back down to Lukla., Trek around 6hrs. O/n Trekkers Lodge.

Day 18 Lukla - Kathmandu (Fly)
We take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Free Afternoon rest or explore your own shopping. O/n Hotel.

Day 19 Departure
We will take you to the airport for your flight home. Or you can extend your Trip to Rafting, Jungle Safari or Pokhara etc..

Important Note
Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions availability of porters and the health of Trekkers can all contribute to changes. The guides and their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.

Food & Accommodation
Lodge Trek we provide Trekkers lodge as accommodation which is normally simple, neat & clean. We provide your meals as simple Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Trekkers Restaurant. And Camping Trek You are accommodated in tents whilst on trek. We usually camp near village. We have our own cook team who will do all the cooking on trek. This also ensures that we have good control over hygiene.

Experience Required
This Trek is suitable for keen walkers who are able to walk for 7 - 8 hours in a day, with a light rucksack. Some of the days are quite long, and the walking feels more strenuous at altitude. Generally the trail is a good track, but occasionally it will be uneven and rocky. There may also be some snow cover on the Trail sometime.
